NVIDIA OpenShell
docs.nvidia.com
NVIDIA's open-source runtime that runs autonomous AI agents in kernel-isolated sandboxes governed by a declarative policy.
What it does
NVIDIA OpenShell
OpenShell is an open-source (Apache-2.0) runtime from NVIDIA for running fleets of autonomous AI agents safely. Each agent runs in an isolated sandbox; kernel-level controls confine which files it can read and which system calls it can make, and every outbound network connection passes a policy check. Agents never see real credentials: OpenShell injects them only into requests bound for approved endpoints. Access is declared in a YAML policy, and before a policy change is applied OpenShell uses formal verification to flag risky new access (for example a new host with credentials) for human review. Written in Rust, installable from PyPI (openshell), with documentation at docs.nvidia.com/openshell; the latest release line is 0.1.x.
